STEAM+MAKER CLUB
This club can be offered to Upper Primary and Lower Secondary School students, as well as for community and cultural centres.
The aim of the club is to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) through the lenses of Art, Design and Architecture with a Maker-centred approach. Inspired by artists-designers-architects' projects, participants are encouraged to create their own objects, systems or structures. By making rapid prototypes, exploring, experimenting and testing different materials along with distinct techniques, they are stimulated to develop a tinkerer’s disposition as well as to build confidence as makers.
Who is it for?
This club can be offered either to children aged 9-13, being designed according to participants’ disposition and to the aims, needs and guidelines of the school, community centre or organisation.
Duration
This activity can be run in 60-90 minutes sessions, once a week, for approximately 8-10 weeks.
